Nestled atop a spur of the Great Diving Range at an elevation of 700m above sea level, Trentham is cool country indeed. Only 90km from Melbourne, it’s another world away on the edge of the Wombat State Forest. The air is crisp and cool, and the vista is almost always green. There’s the lake or the falls (Victoria’s largest single drop waterfall), plus bushwalks and riding trails to embrace Trentham’s natural beauty.

The Trentham Trumpet Community Newspaper

Charming streetscapes dotted with historical buildings, shady treelined streets, and lovely gardens. Interesting shops, talented local artists. Proud of its strong sense of community, wonderful local characters, and legends. Trentham is a picturesque country town balancing history and change.

While small, Trentham is one of Central Victoria’s most celebrated foodie destinations. From fabulous coffee, wonderful bread to fresh local produce, from dinner in front of an open fire to afternoon refreshments in a sunny beer garden- Trentham has it all. And it’s Spud country.
